Red Ribbon Club of GDC Kilhotran organised Poster making competition

Doda::The Red Ribbon Club of GDC Kilhotran in the series of events being organised on the eve of world AIDS day, today held a poster making competition on the theme of “Equalise:
Achieving Equality to end HIV”. The whole event was organised under overall patronage of the college Principal Dr javid Iqbal Zargar. In the event more than fifteen students participated who showcased their talent portraying different themes viz. Stop unprotected Sex, Say No to Used Syringes, Treat Equally the Infected Ones, etc. the aim of the event was to spread awareness against the myths and misconceptions about HIV/AIDS. The competition was judged by prof. Ashwani Kumar (HoD Hindi), Dr. Tanveer Hussain (Hod History), Mr Vinay Manhas (Physical Director) and prof. Deepak Raj (Hod English). The first and second prize was bagged by Ms. Varsha Rani semester 1 and Ms. Sakshi Jaral Semester 1 respectively, and the third prize was shared by Ms. Saima Saleem and Ms. Sakshi Surmal both from semester 3. All HoDs showed up their presence in the event and appreciated the efforts of Red Ribbon Club for having such informative and gracious series of events. In the end Convener Red Ribbon Club Prof. Majid Gani Zargar thanked all the HoDs for their cooperation and especially Departments of Education and political Science, and the Disciplinary Committee of the College for their Intime availability and support.
