SSP DODA DISTRIBUTED STUDY MATERIAL TO SCHOOL CHILDREN OF BPL FAMILIES

Doda:: Continuing its efforts to extend help and assistance to downtrodden sections under Civic Action Programme, today on 19th of April-2022, SSP Doda Sh. Abdul Qayoom along with Dy.SP Hqrs Doda Sh. Jaswant Singh JKPS paid a visit to Jodhpur and distributed study material which includes School Bags, Note Books etc to school children belonging to poor and downtrodden families.
The programme was organized at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Joudhpur where study material was distributed to the children of poor category studying. This goodwill gesture on the part of Police was highly appreciated by locals of the area and while speaking on the occasion the prominent citizens of the area said that lot of efforts are being made by Police to listen and redress the grievances of general public and all possible help is being extended to needy people residing in remote areas of the district.
Thereafter, SSP Doda held a public meeting which was attended by prominent citizens, elderly people, PRIs functionaries among a huge gathers of locals of the area. The participants lauded the role of Police to conduct such public outreach programmes to listen the problems of general public of remote areas. In the meeting, participants highlighted various issues and demands of the area and SSP Doda assured them that their demands will be taken up at appropriate level for redressal of the same.
SSP Doda while speaking on the occasion urged upon the participants to maintain brotherhood, peace and communal harmony to build a peaceful atmosphere. The participants were exhorted to provide co-operation and assistance to Police so that social evils like drugs smuggling, illicit liquor, bovine smuggling and others social crime is eradicated from the society.
The participants were also urged upon to keep eye and watch on their wards and make them understand about good and bad habits, so that they may not fell prey of drugs or other criminal related activities which would lead to spoil their career. They were also informed to provide inputs/information to Police regarding drug smuggling or any other crime related activities so that culprits could be booked.
