*Midday meals one of the key components of Eat Right India -Food Safety DFCO Doda*

Doda::Today on 23/03/2022 in compliance to implement initiative of Eat Right India -a moment by FSSAI particularly imparting awareness regarding Midday meals Food Safety DFCO Doda Under the guidance of Commissioner FDA j&k and under able supervision of District Administration Doda team of Enforcement Officers including Mohd.Amin Food Safety Officer Bhaderwah HQ Doda led by Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety DFCO District visited 02 Schools
1.Govt.Girls Middle School Sartingle Bhaderwsh & 2.Govt. Primary school poneja Bhaderwah ,imparted awareness programs regarding MMP /MDM.It is a step towards inclusive society.Midday meal scheme & its benefits were completely elaborated to the staff members & the concerned staffs members dealing with MDM ,apprised them how to be student-focused in the form of fresh lunch to be served to the students .it is world's largest school lunch program & its aim is to mitigate, underweight problems, malnutrition,anemia,deficiency in Vitamin A & D ,iron & iodine so as to give boost to the immunity & nutritional intake of students .
Importantly ,setting up an appropriate mechanism of quality checks.Attributions under Eat Right India were deliberated upon & explored at length to implement *Fortification*
The staff members were awared of the concepts & clarity about Fortified Food to be introduced in MDM is prime concern of the Govt.which aim to avoid hunger,malnutrition with ascending graph of anemia. During the workshops focus was pointed towards maintaining Hygiene including kitchen,Utensils,staff(cooks) sanitation,Cleanliness & availability of Safe Drinking water.The concerned staff was appraised how to prepare & serve wholesome freshly cooked lunch to the students to fulfill the purpose of MDM .During these sessions the poineering move of Eat Right India to go ahead at community level support & promotion is to be encouraged to set up the operations and act as the implementing arm of the Govt.To sustain the interest of the objectives of MDM menus were also discussed & the staff members & HOD's of the institutions assured to comply with the instructions. Additionally,it was also affirmed that this type of awareness will show positive results.
