*DC Doda Convenes Task force Committee meeting of OSC.*
_Directs to expand the area of publicity of OSC services and Helpline no. 181._
Doda, December 11; Deputy Commissioner Doda (Chairman District Task Force, One Stop Centre) called meeting of all the members and discussed various issues besides working of SAKHI, One Stop Centre at Doda (OSC).
It was revealed in the meeting that 89 women in distress were helped/ rescued during last year. It was further informed that One Stop Centres (OSC) are functioning in all districts of the UT to facilitate and support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. Women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status, race and culture will be facilitated with support and redressal. Aggrieved women facing any kind of violence due to attempted sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, honour related crimes, acid attacks or witch-hunting who have reached out or been referred to the OSC are being provided with specialized services.
DC directed the concerned that the cases / victims be treated with extra precautions so that the effected women gets rehabilitated with dignity.
He directed SHO women Police Station to show proactive approach and cooperation so that victim is timely rescued and is given proper legal protection. He also directed to publicise the service of OSC and toll free no. 181 through hoardings, creative notes on social media, camps and other kind of IEC activities.
While reviewing the timely salary issue, Chairman DTFC (DC) directed to release the salary/ honorarium on monthly basis. He further asked the concerned to search out suitable location/ space for shifting the OSC to government building from private accommodation.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, ACP Doda, DSWO Doda, CMO Doda, DIO Doda, CDPO Gundana, Administrator OSC, SHO Doda and other officials of OSC Doda.
