Legend Cricketer and Noted Social Activist Dr Tariq Masood passes away 

YSCC Doda offer condolences

DODA, April 23: Prominent Social Figure, Rtd District Health Officer and Chief Advisor Young Star Cricket Club Doda Dr Tariq Masood passed away on Saturday 22-04-2023, after suffering massive cardiac arrest. 

The deceased was ailing since last two years and lost the battle of life on Saturday at ASCOMS Hospital Jammu at the age of 60 years.  

In this connection, the members of Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda held a condolence meeting at their head office Nagri Doda, which was chaired by Patron YSCC Mr Manzoor Ahmed Batt and expressed grief & sorrow over the demise of Dr Tariq Masood and conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family. 

Terming him as a noble soul, a dedicated officer and promising cricketer of his time, Dr Tariq rendered a long period of his service in the health department, who lived all his life in helping people belonging to down trodden section of the society, a thinker that has left a great void which cannot be filled. 

The members also recalled the services and contribution he made during his 20 years of association with YSCC Doda as its Advisor, in promotion of sports activities in the chenab region particularly in District Doda. 

Known for his head and heart qualities, Dr Tariq Masood will always be remembered for the efforts and contribution rendered by him at different forums, they added. 

They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family.
