INDIAN ARMY, DODA CELEBRATED NATIONAL YOUTH DAY AT DODA

Doda::Since 1985, 12 Jan is celebrated in India every year to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's birthday as National Youth Day. The aim of the programme was to spread awareness amongst youth about societal, national and contemporary issues in line with the theme of the year 'Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat'. To observe this event, Indian Army, Doda celebrated this day with zeal at Doda COB.
Company Commander, Doda addressed the children about the history and invaluable contribution of Swami Vivekananda and advised students to take inspiration from his ideas and philosophy. He also guided the students to follow the path of Swami Vivekananda and his belief in the power of youth to bring about the inclusive growth of our nation and world at large. A total of 27 youth attended the event.
The convention kick started with a 'Pledge by Youth' for the betterment of the society of J&K, recognizing the youth icons who are tirelessly and relentlessly working for the society. Such motivational efforts by the Army for students will go a long way in motivating the students to take active part in nation building.
