GDC Doda organizes online workshop on Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity

Doda::Institution Innovation Council (IIC), GDC Doda organized an online workshop on the topic titled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity”. The workshop was organized under the able guidance and patronage of Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, President, IIC, GDC Doda. The ‘Institution Innovation Cell’ at GDC Doda has been established under the initiative of Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India to systematically foster the culture of Innovation in this institution of higher learning. The primary mandate of IIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new, unique ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are in formative years. Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, HoD, The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus, acted as Resource Person for this workshop.  His areas of specialization include Financial Markets and Instruments; Entrepreneurship and Skill Development; and Financial Economics. He deliberated upon the basic requisites for entrepreneurship and main drivers of creativity and innovation. He also mentioned about the funding agencies available in the UT of J&K for nurturing the young talent in the area. The workshop session was followed by the Q&A session in which students asked questions to the expert and satiated their curiosity. The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Neelam Saba, member of college IIC. The other experts and faculty members who participated in the workshop included Dr. Ajaz A. Wani, B D Sehotra, Prof. Akrity Parihar, Dr. Tasir Sharief, Dr. Mohd Aslam Rather, Dr. Masood Ayoub Kaloo, Prof. Amit Kumar, Prof. Zain Batt, Prof. Younas Rashid, Dr. Ravinder Singh, Lalit Katoch and Neeraj Sharma.
