*Medical and Veterinary Camp Organised by Indian Army*

Doda::Indian Army organised Medical and Veterinary Camp at far flung area Bhata Dessa village of Doda district under Op Sahbhavna. The Medical and Veterinary Camp was aimed to address the popular Dand of the locals residing in remote areas where medical facilities are inadequate due to poor road conditions, weather conditions and under developed terrain.
The medical camp was led by medical officer of the Indian Army. It also witnessed the participation of doctors, Veterinary doctors and anganwadi workers. Medical cover included screening of patients, medical treatments and distribution of medicines. A total of 327 patients including 197 males, 83 females and 47 children were provided medical care. Veterinary camp was conducted to treat animals of Gujjars and Bakarwals from as far as Ramban, Reasi and Kathua who are living in dhars near the village.
The local population expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for its efforts in providing Medical and Veterinary aid in their village. Locals were also sensitised and preventive health care and protection against spread of COVID-19. Efforts of the Indian Army were highly appreciated and the Army has promised continued support to local administration in the future.
