Doda::The development of infrastructure to promote tourism in Doda is crucial for the economic development of the area and the establishment of a Development Authority for Doda is indispensable in this regard .
There are abundant avenues of economic growth and development but the same remain unexplored till date due to the lack of a comprehensive approach at administrative and political level . The public of Doda district in general and Doda constituency in particular appeals honourable Union Minister of Dr Jitendra Singh who happens to be the M P from Doda Udhampur parliamentary constituency, to intervene and get the much awaited Doda Development Authority sanctioned.
District headquarter Doda is surrounded by many beautiful meadows, peaks, streams and shrines that attract the visitors especially during the summer. These tourist destinations and health resorts need immediate attention of the UT administration so that they are explored and developed at par with Kashmir valley. There is immence potential of Pilgrim Tourism also which in turn can become one of the key factor in boosting the economic development of the area.
Some of the places of tourist attraction around Doda town include Lal Draman, Makhan Bagi, Dal Draman , Nagni Top Yangwan, Dibri, Trank Dhar, Chandi Top, Shiya Dhar , Urad Bagi, Hashwa Dhar, Galla Dhar, Dedni Top and many more.
'Expedite the provision of infrastructure in the form of road connectivity and other basic facilities for the visitors to boost tourist activities in these areas is dire need of the hour and establishment of Doda Development Authority is mandatory , said advocate Ahtsham Hussain Batt a native of Lal Draman Sazan Doda. He urged the hon'ble M P Doda Udhampur parliamentary constituency and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh to take call on this important issue of public interest and get a separate development authority for Doda approved.
social activist advocate Nissar Ahmed Gattu of Doda emphasized the demand for separate Development Authority for Doda saying that it is the only solution to this long pending genuine demand of the people of Doda district in general and Doda constituency in particular and UT administration must take appropriate decision in this regard so that the aspirations of the people of Doda may not suffer any more.e for Development.
