DODA POLICE ORGANIZED AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING AT DODA, BHADERWAH, GANDOH & THATHRI .

Doda::In a run up to make, International Day against "Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking" which is being observed on 26th of June-2022, every year, the Doda Police has started a series of programmes viz rallies of students, movie show to the students, seminars,
workshops across the length and breadth of the District in collaboration with other departments like Excise department, Nasha Mukt Bharat from social welfare department, Education department and drug de-addiction centre of District Police Doda to spread the awareness against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in general masses particularly among the youth.
As a part of the said series, today on 23rd of June-2022, Doda Police organized various awareness programmes which includes student rallies and movie shows at Doda and Bhaderwah as well as Gandoh and Thathri respectively in collaboration with other departments associated with the programmes. The rallies at Doda and Bhaderwah were participated by large number of school children of different schools along with teaching faculty. On the other hand a large number of students also participated in the movie shows organized at Thathri and Gandoh under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah and Gandoh.
While addressing the rally participants, SSP Doda Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS briefed the school children about the ill effects and dangerous consequences of drugs and advised the school children to contribute for this anti drug mission to make the society drug free so that the menace of drug is rooted out and youth may not fell the prey of drugs which is highly hazardous for the society and eating vitals of young people. SSP Doda also informed the rally participants to make maximum participation in the coming events being organized by Doda police so that general masses may be awared across the length and breadth of the District to make the anti drug day a grand success.
The Chief Education Officer Doda, Sh. Prahlad Bhagat also addressed the rally participants about the hazardous and ill effects of drugs and advised the school children to display their role in eradicating the menace of drug from the society so that drug free and healthy society is built up
Among other officers who graced the occasion were Sh. Master Popsy, ASP Hqrs Doda, Sh. Jaswant Singh, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda, Sh. Shoket Ali, Dy.SP DAR Doda, SHO PS Doda and Incharge Drug De-Addiction Centre Doda were also present.
