FLAG OFF CEREMONY OF A FEMALE BATCH FROM DODA TO JAMMU UNDER HIMAYAT SCHEME

Doda::A Flag off Ceremony was organised by Indian Army at District Police Line in Doda wherein 15 Female volunteers from far flung areas of the district were sent to Jammu to undergo a skill development training under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY) also known as HIMAYAT Scheme run by the government all over India. A bus was flagged off with the candidates for Jammu from Doda Company Operating Base at District Police Line by 2IC, 10 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion. The trainees will be attending 4 months course in the training centre located in Jammu which will provide training for Food & Beverages Service Steward and Front Office Executive in the Hospitality Sector. Apart from that, personality development training to improve communication skills and computer training will also be imparted to the trainees. The entire cost of training including boarding and lodging is borne by the government under this scheme. Post completion of training, the candidates will undergo interviews for placement into various companies. The initiative has been taken by the Army in Doda district to motivate and provide a platform for employment and empower the females of the society. It has always been an endeavor of the army to facilitate the implementation of such government schemes at grass root level.
