Vice Chancellor JU felicitate COVID worrier of Varsity
Jammu , February 25 : The Vice Chancellor University of Jammu Prof. Manoj K Dhar today felicitated the COVID worrier , Arif Haleem Khateeb , External Relations Officer Bhaderwah Campus for his selfless service to the nations during world wide pandemic COVID-19.
A memento and an appreciation letter was presented to Arif Khateeb for his tremendous work and keeping the flag of University of Jammu high during such tough times.
Dr Neeraj Sharma Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor and Dr Imran Farooq PRO to Vice Chancellor were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion , Vice Chancellor said that extraordinary efforts and initiatives taken by Mr Arif Khateeb during the entire three waves of Covid-19 pandemic to save the lives of thousands of people in your home District Doda especially in the Bhadarwah region are praise worthy.
It is pertinent to mention here that during this worldwide pandemic situation Arif Khateeb has worked with full zeal, dedication and sincerity to serve the people of his region by establishing Quarantine Centre in the Bhadarwah Campus of the University of Jammu, imparting awareness about the spread of this life consuming infection to the inmates, conceived extra-curricular activities like meditation, yoga entertainment.
Vice Chancellor while praising the efforts made by Mr Khateeb said that during this prolonged period of quarantine he emphasized on to mitigate the sufferings of the inmates and to serve them best by achieving the spectacular results and finally made us prideful and kept the flag of the University of Jammu high.
Prof. Dhar further added that very few people like him are having such quest and desire to serve voluntarily for the human cause by keeping the spirit of humanity, brotherhood and communal harmony at its highest level. I am sure you will continue to do good work for the University and Bhadwarwah region.
