_Re-opening of schools_
*DDC Doda discusses arrangements to be put in place for reopening of winter zone educational institutions in the district*
_Orders to constitute committees to inspect implementation of safety measures, guidelines in the educational institutions_
*Directs CEO to ensure vaccination of any left out students in the age group of 15 to 17 and any staff*
Doda, February 17:
As per the orders of UT Government to re-open all the educational institutions across the UT, the DDC Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired second round of meeting of all the concerned to discuss the arrangements to be put in place for smooth and hassle free reopening of the educational institutions falling in winter zone.
During the meeting the DDC reiterated guidelines issued by the school education department besides enquired from the heads of respective institutions about their own safety measures which have been taken up by them for the smooth operationalisation of the educational institutions after Covid-19 restrictions.
It was informed to the DDC by the CEO that schools will start functioning offline from 28th of February onward upto 10th class, besides for 11th and 12th they shall be started after their result declaration and after the admission process is completed.
Moreover, the CEO apprised the DDC that in the institutions where there is a high enrollment, it has been decided to run the classes either in double shifts or on alternate day basis.
The DDC directed the CEO to esnure that all safety measures shall be put in place in advance before the opening of the schools across the district, besides seeks sanitization of school premises and school buses on priority basis.
In order to manage the student having any symptom, the DDC directed the CMO to share the list of health institutions and doctors along with their phone number adjoining to the institution with the education department so that smooth evacuation as per SOPs shall be ensured, besides asked to vaccinate all the left out students in the age group of 15 to 17 years within next three days in coordination with the education department.
Further the ADC has been directed to constitute the committees who shall inspect the implementation of safety protocols in every institution before 28th of February, besides DDC has asked CEO to submit in writing about the same including the list of staff members who are not vaccinated if any, and initiate action against them.
Regarding Higher education institutions including degree colleges, ITI, Polytechnic College and also KV/ JNV, the DDC directed all the head of institutes to ensure that all safety measures are put in place well in advance so that safety and security of all the students including staff members shall be ensured without any fail.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, Principal GDC Doda, Principal GDC Bhaderwah, CMO Doda, CEO Doda, Principal Govt GHSS Doda, Principal Polytechnic college Doda, Superindent ITI Doda, besides representatives of Colleges, KV, JNV, were also present in the meeting.
