Doda::Today 10 RR 'A' Coy organised National Girls Child Day in-collaboration with "Arjun Youth Club Gai Dessa" at Village Gai Dessa. Maximum Girls of the village participated
on the occasion.The main objectives of the Program was that the Ministry of Women and Child Development observed the National Girl Child Day for the first time on January 24, 2008.
The main aim of the observance of this day was to spread awareness and tackle the issues of inequalities that girls face in the country and enlighten everyone about the rights of a girl child.
Each year's Day of Girls has a theme; the first was " *ending child marriage",* the second, in 2013, was " *innovating for girls' education",* the third, in 2014, was "Empowering Adolescent Girls: *Ending the Cycle of Violence* ", and the fourth, in 2015, was "The Power of Adolescent Girl: *Vision for 2030* Girls play multiple roles in the household, society and the economy.
