Doda, December 20:In wake of Good Governance week celebrations under the theme "PRASHASAN GAON KI AUR", the department of Employment in liason with Nehru Yuva Kendra organized a District Level Declamation contest in DECC Doda( Akramabad). Over 50 youth from various blocks participated in this event.
The theme of the event was Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas. To celebrate the good Governance week, a different approach was adopted by the department to sensitize youth about accountability, transparency as a need of the system.
Toppers from various blocks were invited by NYKs and every participant was given 8 -10 minutes to speak on " Nation Building and Governance" also .The contest was held at the Conference hall of DECC.
Further AD Employment spread awareness on Good Governance intiatives, by UT administration in bringing transparency, accountability and user friendly public services delivery mechanism for the welfare of general public. Ifra Batool bagged trophy for coming first. DDC Vice chairperson congratulated the participants and lauded the efforts of NYK and Employment Department for conducting such programme.
Among the participants present during the programme were various lecturers, DYO, National Youth volunteers, TOT of NYKs, officials of Employment Dept , NYK members besides other officers of various departments were also present.
