TBS Bhaderwah Campus organises online webinar on ‘Marketing of Agriculture Products’

Doda::December 29th : The webinar begin with the welcome address by Professor Rahul Gupta Hon’ble Rector Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu and patron of the event. He welcomed the resource person, guests, faculty members, participants and the students of TBS, Bhaderwah campus in the webinar. In his brief address, Professor Gupta also congratulated TBS faculty for their proactive approach and out-of-box thinking for providing practical exposure to the students.


The objective of the webinar was to equip the participants and management students with mission ‘Marketmirchi.com’ which is an online platform for the sale and purchase of agriculture products nationally.


Ms Pragati Gokhale, Chief Mentor Mission Mera Mobile Mera Marketing was the resource person of the webinar. Ms Gokhale is Ex-Principal Scientist, Ministry of   MSME ,  GoI and a national resource person Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. She enlightened the audiences about the journey of the mission and how it is changing the life of many buyers and sellers of agriculture products across the country. The mission has become a tool in the hands of farmers to buy and sell their agriculture produce with the click of a button. She very lucidly explained that, how the mission is working hand in hand with top institutions and organisations like many IITs, NABARD, KVK, SRL, Tata Trust etc to create front end and backward linkages to provide best technology driven solutions to the basic grievances of Indian farmers.


Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, Head of Business School, Bhaderwah Campus elaborated on the relevance of the theme of the webinar and also briefed the participants about the growing relevance of online marketing platform for boosting the growth of agriculture sector in the country. The participants asked many question across the topics which are addressed by the resource person effectively.


At the end Mr Mohammed Avais, Sr. Assistant Professor in the department presented a formal vote of thanks and assured the participants that the department will always strive hard for the holistic growth and development of the students.


The webinar was attended by all the faculty members of The Business School including Dr Rohit Bhagat, Dr Umesh Chaudhary, Dr Meenakshi Nargotra, Dr Atif Javed Qazi, Dr Surekha Phakwrya, Mr Amit, Ms Aishiya Gupta and Ms Sonia Sharma.
