Govt. Degree College (PG) Bhaderwah organized Cyber Jaagrookta Rally at Bhaderwah Town

Bhaderwah ::Under initiative of Govt. of India scheme Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre (14C) Department of Computer Science GDC Bhaderwah in collaboration with NCC and NSS unit of the college organized a Cyber Jaagrookta Rally in Bhaderwah town today on 18th December 2021. The rally started with the warm welcome address by Prof. Arjun Kotwal, HOD Computer Science department where he welcomed all the staff members and students for participating in rally. Prof. Devinder Kumar, vice-Principal of the college in his address congratulated the department for organizing such important events. After that Prof. Davinder Kumar flagged off the rally.
The rally started from College campus and culminated at Seri Bazaar park via new bus stand, link road Bhaderwah. The students also interacted with shopkeepers and other public about Cyber crime and its ill effects. Students also raised slogans related to Cyber Jaagrookta such as
“Keep your password secret and strong”, “Don’t share OTP to strangers”, “Change your passwords regularly” etc.
The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks presented by Prof. Vijay Kumar from Department of Computer Science. Prof. Tariq Bhat from the department of Computer Science has played a key role in organizing the rally. Staff members who participated in the rally are Prof. Prithvi Raj, Prof. Ankush Kumar, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Prof. S K Katal, Prof. Rahul Uttam ,Prof. Sunil Singh, Prof Ab Rouf Bhat, Prof. Shamsher Singh, Mr. Bushan Kumar, Mr. Ashfaq Ahmad and others.
