CMO Doda reviews preparedness for COVID-19 vaccination of 15-17 age group

Doda, 30th December 2021:  In wake of the recent Govt announcement regarding start of COVID-19 vaccination among 15-17 years of age group, to begin from 3rd January 2022, the Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr M Y Mir on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda on Thursday chaired a meeting with Officers from Education Deptt, Health Deptt including BMOs, Principal/HeadMasters/HOIs from Govt/Private Schools at District COVID Cell Office Doda to finalize the necessary arrangements. 

The meeting held with threadbare discussion with regard to formulating a smooth process to inoculate the teenagers in the age group of 15-17 years. 

On this occasion, the CMO Doda Dr M Y Mir briefed all the participants in detail about the COVID-19 vaccination among teenagers (15-17 years) which is going to commence from 03-01-2022 across the District. 

The CMO Doda  asked the officers from Education Deptt including ZEOs, Principals, Head Masters and HOIs from Govt as well as Private Educations Institutions to submit school wise detail of the students falling under the target age group, so that the District Administration and Health Deptt. would prepare necessary schedule notification regarding designation of session sites for inoculating the target age group. 

Later on, meeting was also attended by ADDC Doda Dr R K Bharti, who stressed on better coordination among the Health and Education Deptt to yield better results, urged all the parents to cooperate with school and health deptt, so that no child is left out. 

Other than Education Deptt, the meeting was also attended by I/c BMO Ghat BMO Assar, BMO Bhaderwah, BMO Thathri, BMO Gandoh, I/c Distt Immunization Officer Dr Varsha Sharma, Nodal Officer COVID-19 Vaccination Rural and Urban, VCCM besides staff of District COVID-19 Cell Doda.
